It's FOOTBALL SEASON!

We are HUGE football fans! You know what they say...."You can take the girl out of the 'Burgh' but you can't take the 'Burgh' out of the girl! GO STEELERS!!! I wear my Steelers colors proudly here in NC. I've also met many new friends this way! YAY!
Of course, this goes for all of us except the New Yorker in the family (or New Yorkian if you listen to Brett Favre)....then it's GO JETS!! You should be here with us on Sundays when we are all screaming at the TV!

I made this Buffalo Chicken dip to eat during yesterday's
afternoon games. It was really good!
1-8oz. cream cheese, softened
3 cups of chicken --I used canned chicken breast and it worked fine
1/2 C. ranch dressing
1/2 C. Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce (don't sub or the taste may change)
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese

Mix cream cheese and ranch dressing together until creamy. Set aside. Mix chicken and wing sauce together and stir into the cream cheese mixture. Stir in 1/2 C. cheddar cheese. Spoon into a 9 in. pie plate. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 C. cheese on top of mixture. Bake at 350* for 20 -25 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned and bubbly. You can also make this in a small crockpot and keep warm on low. Serve with tortilla chips. **Notes: this was really good with just a hint of "hot" but for more of a kick, I will add another 1/3 C. of Frank's Hot Sauce to it the next time that I make it.

Oh Tami that sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe, I definitely want to try that. Now I just need to see if I can find that wing sauce around here.

Thanks, ladies!

This dip is really good. I'm partial to Franks but if you can't find it, you can always sub your favorite. ;)

If you make it, let me know if you like it.

You can sub in blue cheese dressing for the ranch and blue cheese crumbles for the cheddar cheese shreds if you're an authentic "wings with blue cheese" lover. Also, since you're using canned chicken here I would go with something that's all white meat breast, it helps so much with the taste! I work with Swanson Chicken and we use their white meat canned chicken in our dip!
