Thrifty Thursday - my magazine craze
Ok, I admit it...To go along with my cookbook addiction, I'm addicted to collecting and reading magazines! Very rarely do I ever purchase a subscription to any magazine. Instead, I buy them at thrift stores and yard sales or once in a while I will get lucky and find some that someone has listed on Craigslist or FreeCycle for free.
My husband and I went hunting through our local Habitat for Humanity Restore today. I love wandering around places like that. I didn't find anything that I was looking for but I did get a great deal on 6 Southern Living magazines that are filled with recipes and decorating ideas that I can't wait to try. :)
I only paid $1.00 for all of them!
Magazines and good deals....that makes me happy!!!
This is my Thrifty Thursday deal of the week.
Here are more great Thrifty Thursday bloggings.

what a great idea!
Good for you. Habitat for Humanity is a great organization!
I am addicted to magazines too, but I have to rein myself in, as I just don't have time to read as many as I'd like. But it's hard to pass them by.
I didn't realize the Habitat Store has things like magazines. My sister has been telling me about them, but there's none really close to where I live and I haven't gone yet.
Don't you love to find deals like that. I found a bunch of Martha's mags for 25 cents each at a flea market. I was in heaven.
Way t go Tami! I love deals like that. i need to get back to my local thrift store
We have been helping build a house here I love Habitat for Humanity. Way to go Tami.
What a great idea. I'm a cookbook and magazine addict too. One corner of my living room is piled high. I do get a lot of hand me downs from my mom but never though of looking at the thrift store. Thanks for the tip.
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only magazine "collector" around here! :)
