Look what my Mom gave to me when we were in PA to visit her!
She's this itty bitty little lady - not even 100 lbs soaking wet- and it took all she could do to move it around. She said that she knows how much I love to cook and bake so she asked me if I wanted it!! UH...YES!!!
You see...sadly (lol!) I am not an itty bitty little thing so I have no problem moving it around and I have been giving it a work out! It's gonna get a workout later today when I start on my Christmas cookies and other goodies, too!
Mom is a happy baker once again, too. She wanted a Sunbeam MixMaster so we bought her one so that she could bake her Christmas cookies! :) She told me tonight that she is thrilled with her new mixer.
LET'S BAKE!!
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Woohoo! My KitchenAid arrived yesterday and it IS heavy, holy moly. But I love it, it's the best Christmas present ever :-D
OOO, it's so pretty!! I have a Rival mixer, LOUD as anything but it mixes. Sometimes I wish it would stop mixing so I could get a nice quiet KA. I can't mix when anyone is sleeping.
Happy baking!
My Sunbeam is sitting in my basement because I inherited Grandmom's KitchenAid, such an honor, because she was a fabulous hostess, cook, baker. That sucker is heavy! I just wish it tilted up. Does yours?
Yes, mine does tilt up. :) I want to buy the paddle attachement that has the rubber scrapers on the sides of it. I would love to buy the pasta maker but I have no idea when I would have time to make homemade pasta. lol!!
Barb, I know what you mean about having a loud mixer. My hand mixer is SO loud! I still use it for a lot of things instead of getting out the big KA.
Amanda, if you haven't used it yet, you will love it!
Merry Christmas, Ladies!!!
I've had a KitchenAid for about 13 years now and it's been worth every penny! I don't think I could live without it. In fact, I'm sure I couldn't! Happy mixin'!
Wow congratulations, what a fantastic mum you have! :)
How sweet of your mom! And how sweet of you guys to get her what she wanted.
I haven't upgraded to a mixer like that yet; still using the hand one.
